Our Story – How It All Started

In many parts of Asia, millions of children face a heartbreaking reality — a lack of access to education and basic necessities. Whether due to poverty, lack of resources, or systemic barriers, these children are left without the tools they need to build a brighter future.

BackpackThroughAsia was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity to learn simply because of financial hardship. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and with the right support, these children can thrive and succeed.

We aim to solve these challenges:

  • Financial Barriers: Many families cannot afford tuition fees, leaving children without access to schools.
  • Lack of Supplies: Books, school materials, and even basic necessities like blankets are often unaffordable.
  • Limited Support: Many underprivileged communities have no external funding or aid programs to assist them.

We are committed to:

  • Sponsoring tuition fees so children can continue their education.
  • Providing essential school supplies to equip students for success.
  • Expanding partnerships with schools, sports organizations, and local communities to reach more children.

We've already helped students in Nepal and families in India, and we won’t stop here. With your support, we can reach even more children across Asia.

Past Initiatives - Proof of Impact

Winter Blanket Drive - Bareilly, India (2024)

To support homeless families and underprivileged communities in Bareilly, India, we organized a blanket distribution drive, ensuring warmth for those who needed it most.

  • ₹40,000 worth of army-grade blankets donated to families in need.
  • Goal: Provide warmth and protection against the extreme winter cold.
  • Impact: Directly helped XX families stay safe during winter.

School Sponsorship - Heritage English Boarding School, Nepal

Through our partnership with Heritage English Boarding School in Lalitpur, Nepal, we`ve made education more accessible to students who would otherwise struggle to afford it.

  • Paid tuition fees for underprivileged children, allowing them to continue their studies.
  • Worked directly with school administrators to ensure funds were properly allocated.
  • Helped X students stay in school and continue their education.

Pickleball & Cricket Fundraising Events

We believe in engaging communities to drive change, which is why we`ve leveraged sports fundraising to raise awareness and funds for education.

  • Raised over $800+ to fund school supplies and tuition.
  • Collaborated with cricket and pickleball organizations to hold fundraising tournaments.
  • Future Goals: Expand into more sports-based fundraisers to reach a wider audience and raise even more funds for education.
